Students at North Kent College imagine their ideal city with graphic designer Charlie Abbott
Through a series workshops, Charlie Abbott from graphic design studio work-form, worked with design students from North Kent College to creatively describe the areas they live in and imagine what their ideal future towns and communities might include.
The students started by thinking about what their ideal town might look, sounds and feel like and explored how they could communicate that through custom lettering and graphic icons.
Learning more about the foundations of icon design, and responding to the fact that the signs in towns and cities often remind us of what we can’t do and where we can’t go, the students imagined what signs describing their ideal towns and the activities they would like to see there would look like.
